When can we expect more layoffs at Avaya? I'm asking about US primarily, and California specifically. Things have been too calm for the past several weeks that I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop any moment now.
Are we really doing better, or am I right to be on edge all this time?
My last day on payroll was today. Avaya was Santa Claus to us for years . I took the VTP. The company always treated us well and I think my former coworkers have a bright future. Good luck to all current employees and realize the fact is Avaya is a awesome employer.
From a US field tech point of view, I can't see how we are still in business. Management has been giving away the store to business partners for YEARS. Now, we have absolutely no work. Not uncommon to go weeks without a customer site visit. The recent 15 month contract extension give us a little breathing room, but not much. Waiting for the other shoe to drop.
time has finally come- layoffs on the way....
There were layoffs in CA in mid-March. They are keeping it quite though and trying to do it in small batches. So all that work gets dumped on the people left.
We have been sitting around doing nothing for 2 years

Not sure where you are working... probably not Avaya... there is way too much work here as far as I can see and people are having hard time keeping up! It seems to me we need a lot more people.
I dont see how they cant adjust the size of the workforce. There is no work , Nada nothing.
