Well MY Sears account was affected. Someone used my account at a kmart several states away to charge over $800! How is it even possible to spend that much at a kmart. They reversed the charges pretty quickly but I wonder how much the data breach cost them.
And just when things were going so well for them.
"Sears said the incident led to unauthorized access to the credit card information of under 100,000 of its customers, according to Reuters and other news outlets."
@ddy - So it affected every customer that Sears has!
Check out the pictures of the Sears stores used in the articles on various websites. Worse PR than the article itself. The articles don't say too much except that it didn't affect people using Sears cards and that it was last Sept 2017. SYW cards? No idea.
"Sears officials say that upwards of 637 customers accounts could be affected.."
