Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Lets hire New People off the street

Hire new people off the street and pay them the same as people with 5-10+ years with the company.

Very dumb logic.

WOW, wonder why we are losing policies, Tipsord?

Keep employees that are beneficial and know how to handle claims, ones that come to work.

I am sad that I am in this situation with this company. I thought I could retire here at State Farm.

I am definitely looking for better opportunities because overall most employees, you know the working ants are treated like sh--.

Most people do Not like their jobs at SF because we are micro-managed for 1.

Let us come in and do our jobs. Quit finding all negativity with employees.

Quit with the feedback b---s---. Oh you didn't do something correctly this time you have a lower rating for the whole year. Which affects bonus and wage.

Not to mention the point system .

Can not be late it is points against you. Sorry we dont give a sh-- about if you are late and how good of an employee you are , you were 7 minutes late we have to ding you. we will also go al out on that one thing so we can rate you lower. So it is better to take off work 3 days vs being late 59 minutes. Sh-- is wack

Fix your systems, if there is a compliance issue maybe if it is so important , ya might wanna fix it but no. Let us punish the claim handlers

.

Oh well you did not do this or that, certain mangers just ruin your life at SF.

Let us help our customers. Quit saying "well you could have did this better on this call"

Well how about you do a claim for once in your life because to coach me on sh-- you have never done and hold it against me is ridiculous And that is what people are pissed off about.

STFU coach with a piece of paper (CPCU) all you want you are driving everyone away from working at State Farm and also our customers. Anyone can get a piece of paper

Wow, was the writer of this topic spot on. I have complained for a long time about the IDIOTS doing phone monitoring who could not even document the correct person or company you were speaking with on the phone, and then after an employee complains that the manager documented the call WRONG/INCORRECTLY, the manager refuses to change/update the review.

MORONS could not even understand what the actual job entails.

For decades we only hired the best and brightest applicants, and the pay scale was above average to attract and retain them. Turnover was very low, and morale, customer service, and productivity were sky high. State Farm was willing to reward, and the work force was willing to shoulder any burden to keep us number one. Now, we pay mediocre wages and wonder why 95% of our new hires will quit in the first 2 years. Customers are leaving us in record numbers, and the best employees are as well. Two years from now where will we be as a company??????

Off the street meaning no state farm or insurance experience. To be trained to do the work it took seasoned employees years to fully comprehend, in a very short time. Being paid a considerable wage compared to people with 5-15 years experience, to take over their work without having the time to really understand, while the professionals fix their mistakes or give them feedback on what to fix.

Reply to the Manager above:

What a great response, I can guarantee you have never even lived in the streets, I have and a lot of people I know in the 3 departments I have worked for in the Farm have as well.

So gratz to your ignorance of not even knowing your employees and co-workers.

"Off the streets" referred to people making the same amount of compensation that people that I know which have worked at the company doing the same job for 4 years which are being paid equally. They are hiring interns as well while laying off thousands.

Sure must be nice making 75k to tell people how they are doing wrong when you haven't handled a claim or lived a real life issue. Karma.

I disagree, I don't believe the Farm is hiring people at the rate of a 5 - 10 yr employee but the comment

regarding arrogance and attitude are uncalled for. These people are upset, as you would be. I drive probably by 5 proximity workers homes to my job in the big house and it's difficult for them to comprehend what the company has become. Be compassionate, at least I know where I'm going tomorrow. I'll cherish it, till it's there no more....Then I'll see it like they do.

"Off the street"

You make it sound like SF is hiring homeless street people who just got out of prison, when in reality, those "people off the street" could well be more educated and qualified than you are.

Gratz OP, you quite effectively displayed your unfathomable arrogance and terrible attitude. No wonder SF is getting rid of current employees. Such entitlement, such arrogance...
