Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

Citrix Santa Clara and Ordos

Looks like the empty city Ordis in Mongolia and abandoned Citrix Santa Clara buildings have something in common. They were both built for great things. It never happened for Citrix but the Mongolian megacity will do just fine in the near future.

They will never be able to lease the empty buildings. There is a glut of real estate in the area. They are stuck with 10 years leasese too so they can’t bail out. They will cram everyone in one building just to save the utilities. The losers.

The consolidation plans to move everyone from Building 1 to Building 2 are being prepared. I heard anyone not fitting into a space or can work remotely will be summarily let go.

Building 1 will then be put up for lease like the empty, never moved into, Building 4.

yup, only a clown could negotiate and approve such a moronic deal.

that would fit with the job description for a CItrix ELT

The funny thing is, before they build building 3, they negotiated a 10 year deal, so they won't be getting out of these buildings anytime soon!

I'd rather work for House Atreides than House Ordos.

Shutting down the Santa Clara site would reflect badly on the Citrix ELT in failing to plan for the business properly. Its just easier to sweep the whole SC buildings disaster under the rug by consolidating everyone in Building 1 into Building 2 and try to rent out Building 1.

Doing that would be too sensible and would not feed the massive egos of the ELT circus performers.

This post made my day. They should just shutdown Santa Clara and move the handful of people to a smaller office in Fremont
