The Pros in that post match nonsense buzzwords from previous on this board.

It’s not even about e-commerce. Mattel is still hoping for a miracle. Hoping their dream of connecting toys is the answer. They’ve forgotten how to actually reach kids. All they talk about is margins and costs in their product meetings while in their marketing decks they like to talk about innovation. It’s so surrreal. It’s like the entire company is bipolar. And the bipolar person is driving the bus.

With TRU gone and ecommerce becoming more dominant over brick and mortar and a combination with the now #3 toy company that is in a fast decline and closing in on bankruptcy soon the government would not have any objections.

The SEC will not look kindly on a Hasbro-Mattel merger.

If you are counting on this I feel sorry for you.

If you’re really hoping for hasbro to save you you may be sorely disappointed.

Hasbro doesn’t need Mattel.

They don’t need the overburdened system that is saddled with similar processes and layers. What does Mattel have that hasbro doesn’t? Mattel has a terminal disease. And it’s contagious. Every company it’s acquired has gotten it and is similarly terminal. If hasbro was smart it would stay away and let nature take its course. Mattel should be quarantined.

Yeah it's depressing just coming in to work in this h3llhole. Everyone's just phoning in a day's work while running out the clock on this place. No point in worrying about next month when it's obvious that our reactionary WONDER management "team" can't see past next week. I'm officially embarrassed to tell people I work here.
