Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

How many will be laid off if we are sold?

If you think this was bad, just imagine the carnage we'll see if PepsiCo is truly acquired by another company. Especially if there are a lot of similar positions that can be easily consolidated.

Nobody in their right mind should be cheering on any kind of merger or acquisition. Not if they want to keep their job, that is.

I’m not sure if it’s the same way everywhere but I swear getting anything done at Frito-Lay HQ is near impossible since the layoff. People no longer care or take pride in doing their jobs and it doesn’t matter what your level is. Working with a B2 now that is this biggest piece of crap I’ve ever worked with. She misdirects and punts every time she can to avoid doing a job. Then a B1 that thinks she is still in high school trying to get people in trouble and forced out using her “influence”. Some of the people they kept have me shaking my head.

Some of the people who were kept in my group spoke about how they were superior to the ones that were let go.

Think about how arrogant that is. Now imagine what happens in these senior leadership meetings and the arrogance is on a whole other level. Pride comes before a fall, and I can't wait until that happens.

Very true. The problem is PepsiCo like other big companies find it difficult to grow the business. Synergies is likely the only way to continue creating investor value. Believe me when I tell you that they do not care one bit about any of the employees. They will squeeze us all out if they can.
