I bet there will not be an Engage to Excel survey this year! 2017 results are very disappointing. Very few managers submitting action plans and none are willing to share department results.

Engage to excel is a big farce or at least the handling and perception of it by managers drunk on power. It also gives HR something to talk about (hide behind).
No meetings at the Florence KY plant so far. People HATE working there. Poorly managed, quality is a joke and safety is only important when it doesn't interfere with shipments.
I read a story about displaced coal workers. Said they went through 90 days of training and were requalified to repair power lines in the field. Only problem (for them) was being away from home for 90 days at a time. But bet they never got battle hardened like us in wireline, sitting a well in the amazon and getting shot at by farc
Joint me, drive with lyft. An exciting career.
You are absolutely right but sarcastically,
Yes another industry is waiting for oil workers to join...
The oilfield is in decline so no point complaining about this. Time to move to another industry or re-train. Use your severance to go back to university or do nothing and wither into nothingness and despair.
What do you expect? Commitment to employees? A plan for the companies future? A roadmap for future technology, market expansion and market share protection?
Without any of these in place and communicated to the workforce how is anyone going to be engaged. This do what I tell you and don't ask any questions or try to improve any process is not a winner...
we are doing them, but with everyone always worried about lack of work and layoffs then the scores will still be sh--. how can any manager shake those thoughts to make their people feel better?
Results will be always the same - only PK and his minions will be engaged with fat bonus.
