Thread regarding Schlumberger Ltd. layoffs

Who will buy us?

We seem to like to buy companies we have joint ventures with, but I think we are ripe to be acquired ourselves right about now, considering the sad and vulnerable state Schlumberger is in.

I wouldn't be surprised if companies such as Weatherford decided now was the time to pounce.

Only Schlumberger will buy Schlumberger because they can declare it as revenue and deferred profits adjustment impairment offset. Think new action 4.1 with financial industry 4.1 Rev. AB. After all, it's not just the best run OFS outfit but THE BEST RUN COMPANY on the NYSE.

Weatherford couldn't even pounce on it's grandma. If you have no more business knowledge than this please refrain from posting.

SaudiAramco would be their only hope. Cancel IPO and buy SLB.

The oil industry is dying so why would anyone want to buy a slice of it? GE wants to sell baker Hughes at a huge loss only 3 months after they bought them. That was a major miscalculation to buy at a premium and now to sell in a buyers' market.

Have you seen latest revenue per employee?

68k !

Barely pays cost of employees. Used to 300k

Now, who is going to buy slb unless head count reduced to quarter of what it is now?
