Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

I'm being wrongfully terminated - filing a law suit!

Discriminatory actions from my boss, bad leadership, no clear objectives for the job. Any experience with filing a wrongful termination law suit against PepsiCo or said manager?

i was let go after 26 years because a felloe employee told a lie about me about 8 years ago and have been harassed ever since and been written up for things that other workers did the same thing or worse and never was even spoken to. It would take me too long to explain everything and i saved a co workers life and was not even thanked by the supervisor . was also written up that a co worker did.

Contact a lawyer give him all the facts take your emotions out of it.
Did you grow the business, was your work done on a timely basis?
Do you have any evidence either via email or audio showing when they singled you out?
Have all of this when you sit down with the lawyer. Most importantly find a lawyer that is a Pepsi expert and has sued them before and received a settlement or judgment.
Do not DO NOT DO NOT run you mouth about suing to anyone. Especially to people who still work for them.

Do it. There's circumstantial evidence all over this site. It is very clear who the company tends to favor and all you have to do is look at the libtard CEO.

Don't pay attention to the negativity. If you have sufficient evidence of the discrimination, leaving no loop holes for their defense, then contact the eeoc immediately. If your evidence isn't airtight, then it will be very difficult to prove your claim. If nothing you have shows direct discrimination, or the circumstantial evidence isn't strong, then the eeoc would push your claim to the back. Pepsi has already paid put 3.5 Million for hiring disrimination.

Save the money. With 100k+ followers you'll get the word out sufficiently I would think. Just move on. Am I complacent? Possibly as I've been through a lot in the global work place for many years and have seen many people waste time, effort and money going against the resources of corporations sized like PEP. Not to mention having that effort associated to you when looking for new employment.

No. After what I witnessed I'm not a pro-PEP individual. Although I made it through the last RIFs it's just a matter of time. True to my words I'll be moving on....

Thanks for the replies guys - honestly, I'm not just going to sit back and simply file the suit. I will be assertive, I am pretty big on social media (100K+ followers on my personal account), so that would be a start. Then taking out some articles, sending out some emails - there's plenty that can be done.

I'm sure someone will take my case, if not, well then at least I would have filed a suit, made it public knowledge, and it will catch attention... that's a win for me. Finding a next job will not be difficult, I will just do this because it's wrong.

Thanks!

I've seen managers and associates do things that are quasi-legal or probably illegal on how you look at it. All you need is one instance and there you go. If you think senior leadership is squeaky clean, then you are very naive.

Really? We were all wrongfully terminated. Sorry for your loss, but I was in the February massicar. I was definitly wrongly terminated....but what can I really do? I went above and beyond expectations of my role. Had not even received a full performance review given I was there for approx 1.5 years. Did 0 wrong....but was let go as I was told I did a good job.....SMH...you cant really sue ubless there was proof of wrong doing.

This is the same company who removed an ingredient because some middle schooler complained and went on all the talk shows. Here's an idea, file a suit and start getting the message out there and watch how fast they settle. Don't listen to 6oag, who probably works for HR, legal, or 'compliance'

Think of all the movies that show 5 corporate lawyer sharks versus some guy that looks like Barney Fife, and the little guy wins! This isn't a movie. Unless you have an absolutely airtight case, they will crush you, or drag it out so long you'll lose even if you win.

I knew someone who was terminated from IBM and filed a age discrimination lawsuit. IBM dragged it on for years, so be prepared to be in it for the long haul.
