Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

Sounds like GE is following the IBM model for older employees.

Funny thing. The average age of a Fortune 500 CEO is 57. Maybe they are the ones who should be laid off and replaced by millenials.

I'll 'like' that on Facebook! God help us.

I didn’t lose any vacation or pension. I take more vacation now than ever (about 7 weeks per year). Just got a bonus too, although much smaller than last year. The benefits do s---, and get worse every year. The payroll thing was a $hitty maneuver. Have not had but one raise in the last 4 years now (SPB). All in all, it’s not the greatest but where else can you take 7 weeks off to compensate for the raises you missed? Heck, I may take 8 or 9 weeks this year just because I can!

Notice what IBM did BEFORE they let go of 20,000 people over the age of 40. I've posted the links for easy viewing.

Does this look familiar GE folks? Can we say "touch points"? It lowers the risk of litigation.

How about that vacation taken away? How about the higher health insurance? How about the payroll change basically taking your money with no interest payback......I'm certain Meltdown got his $211 million pension.....still have yours? NO, that was taken away too....in 2011...

For those good character intelligent people still left....my question is why?

Leave the place....let those that would sell their grandma for a dollar have each other.....let the snake pit have lunch on themselves...............

Oh, and for the arrogant spell checkers......I'm out....I'm not competing for your PowerPoint Presentations....so no need to try and ice me in the back or put those that threaten you in a corner.

Last note: Good luck and much success for those with integrity, moral high ground character, and truly are the back bone to these pilfering parasites....
