Can I whine just a little?
I thought they did permissive time off as a benefit to all us hard working employees. I'm sure they didn't have any underhanded unethical motive that only benefited GE.
"Permissive Time Off" ended up hurting so many people. I see so many people coming and doing as they wish and then others working their tails off with no actual time off. Some even going on a so cll
I’m glad this is public as well. I have had enough of their games with my money. Spirit of Integrity? Ha hahahaha
What I like best from that article is learning that GE pointed out it would have felt like a normal month-to-month cash flow, since December otherwise would have been a 3 paycheck month. Because there are never any atypical expenses in December.
Ebenezer Scrooge would have been proud of that change.
Is it wrong to want to short the stock if you are a disaffected employee?
yeah but look how great the stock is doing as result of all the things they have done to the employee's ..saw the article and forwarded to fellow friends. And stock analysts want folks to invest in the this POS company. No damn way!
Glad this is finally public. My situation has only gotten worse over time along with many other employees. The loss of protected vacation time to unlimited has resulted in not a single day of vacation in years. Promises of bonuses instead of base salary increases have all been lies especially those from Energy Connections as we have not gotten a bonus or base increase in years. Then to add insult to injury healthcare costs increased and paychecks got pushed out to help the company show better cash at the expense of hardworking employees.
There are many loyal employees at the breaking point who are the ones keeping the business going and are highly engaged/ skilled but years worth of non-stop 12-20 hour days and being expected to work over holidays and weekends with no rewards or recognition is starting to make many begin to look for better opportunities.
