South Region here - One of the STLs in one of my stores gave me a random, closed-door, “Don’t get discouraged, we’ll get through this” pep talk this morning out of the blue. Doesn’t sound too promising. Call scheduled for 4PM here.
Are there calls in all regions or just SP? I haven’t heard anything in SW.
Could posters identify their regions with their comments? Thank you
Please post here after your call. Some calls seem to be earlier than others. Would love to know if we have any notice and severance options.
Marketing is being completely reorganized tomorrow across all regions. No more marketing positions in stores -Marketing TL, Liaisons, Store Artists- all gone. Regional Support is being streamlined as well. Shared-region format and going down to a small fraction of the current roles. All will need to apply for any new roles. Regions will be grouped together to make up one of only three larger territories for the company. Take care of yourselves- this is just the beginning of all the changes to come.
When you say ECs ... you mean just of marketing or of purchasing and planning as well?
What about CS and other product teams?
Will this west coast region eventually have one RP and a smaller number of RVPs? This has got to be the beginning of some larger shake up.
The ec's and coordinators of marketing are bring consolidated. They will have to apply for their jobs. They will consolidate regions - Southern pacific. Northern Cali, Rocky Mountain, and Pacfic Northwest will become one, West Coast region. There will be an east coast region, etc etc. There will no longer be graphic artist positions in stores. There will be a handful of designer positions for each new consolidated region.
Honestly it’s ptobably just prime affinity stuff they’ve been hinting at for awhile. Combining the pilot Wfm affinity program tested in Dallas and philly that was put on hold after amazon bought Wfm. There are hints to it this year in regional emails but no one knew when. It’ll be the biggest announcement since the merger when it drops. Probably just getting going on that
Sorry everyone. Bring a tissue box and a stress ball. This call will have a mix of emotions and will lead to selective layoffs. A pitiful excuse for why severance wont be given will be delivered and you'll have to choke it down. Those that havent updated their resumes and submitted to employers will be to far behind because believe or not HRs in other companys know how desperate their recently layoff'd employees are and your new salary will not match your new work load I'm positive you'll find a new job. A Better job. But many of you will be making 50-60k when you should be making 70-100k based off of the work you'll be doing. Sorry folks. I've warned you for months on here.

Why would the senior TMS coordinator and senior Customer Service coordinator be included? This can't be good news.
Call invite was sent from SP Regional President, not marketing so it’s definitely bigger then a program change. Also has TMS coordinator on the invite. For those of us that went through this a few years ago this feels very similar. Also no info included in the invite.
Digital coupons ended, so probably just getting ready for prime-related announcement. Maybe some new Amazon guidelines...just speculating.
How do you know it’s a restructure and not just changes in advertisements? Maybe amazon prime call outs?

So it's finally happening? Always had a feeling it was only a matter of time..... if it does happen, I just hope they give severance packages....
Its definnitely weird, we just got out computers updated with new iOS and new Design software so who knows?? if we are gone...

.... 2 separate calls is how they broke the bad news to demo and concierge in the SW... could be unrelated...BUT... one never knows in this turbulent environment.
