After the last Major Layoff .. it’s sad while walking thru the fabs it’s a skeleton crew running what ever operations are left. Yet some people in AIT, metals and Litho are laughing about the layoffs.... Some stating they will not get layoff now because there the only ones left !! These are the people should have been let go first . This is very sad .

Couldn't improve it with those people anyway.
So we have Continuous Improvement Director, EE Director plus 4 EE supervisors plus leads and process engineers and EE engineers all for the same equipment, Why is all that needed now. It is not like we are going to improve the process much anymore.
Chances are the employees that are remaining won’t make it past October.
I would suppose it's more of a dark humor than a a-hole sense of smugness.
Is it screwed up? No doubt. Of course, there is no doubt that a good ton of those people do feel bad and are frustrated they let a good bunch of those people go. Especially now as we have people who need to bounce between one side of the fab to the other.
To add, we already are losing a lot of good people that managed to survive. There are enough people who appear to have had enough bovine fecal matter of the people who are running the plant (and definitely by extension, the company). Too many remarkably stupid choices are being made no doubt.
If that is true then there will be a steady stream leaving between now and then. The plant will loose its good equipment technicians and process people between now and then. Remember the days of 1 tech per night shift and no supervisor at night on the weekends.
Next layoffs being schedule for Oct 18.
