I'm a family member that wants to ask about the Severance packages and levels.

I hear of those volunteering for the next layoff and we knew there would be a next layoff.

Is there a chart somewhere that documents the seniority pecking order?

Where is Manager on the chart compared to Senior Developer?

Where is Principal or Senior Principal or Director or VP?

It's some much simpler when you use numbers or military titles. If we all wore uniforms we could salute each other in the halls too.

I would take a 2 weeks per year package in a nanosecond. It's the only reason I haven't already quit.

Never thought it would come to this point in my career, but I would welcome the package if offered. I may he wrong but I believe many others would take it too.

Where and when are these layoffs? 2 weeks per year is weak. 1 week is even weaker. Tight wads.

Depending on location and if you're a manager or above, you get 2 weeks for each full year of employment. Below manager, 1 week for each full year.
