Why would anyone buy the EarthLink assets? Does that include a free dial up cd with a RadioShack box and office suite on top? Maybe we can use the cash to buy some additional IRU fibers, add it to Winterstate map and call it our own.

It is ELINK consumers so there is no network. Only what ELINK leased from other carriers. It is a low margin business that generates good revenue numbers but is shrinking. I think the plan from the beginning with ELINK was to shed this.

The sell is for the consumer CLEC side (residential). As I understand it - it is one of the few areas making money but, has been decreasing year after year by about 5%. Ergo - that money making trend could end.

What customer base makes up consumer CLEC?

I understand what SMB and EMM are not sure what customers base

This will effect?

Do they sell off the network or just the customer base?

Could this be the potential EarthLink offload the CFO mentioned on the earnings call?
