Prepare to have your mind blown. They did let go of a director that was pretty high up at Apopka and 2 of the Fab supervisors.

They did let go of the majority of the Fab crew. Each shift is basically a skeleton crew now.

Some of those who got cut, I don't think it was a surprise. But I would say a large majority didn't deserve it. Those I wish the best of luck.

Probably not, they always seem to keep the managers, supervisors, directors..which is weird because if they are wanting to cut out ones who make more money, then these are the people they should cut. There are too many directors who have a bunch of managers beneath them, and these managers have many supervisors beneath them, who at the bottom of this ladder have all the supervisors/lead personell. Eliminate some of these people, with their experience and resume they would have no problem finding another job, whereas some of the typical operators and techs will have a harder time finding a job to support their families..they will layoff most of the good workers, no matter the age, then they will hire new people to fill these spots, why not just bring in temps, then they won't have to pay health insurance and can get rid of them at anytime. So are they finished with Florida layoffs? Guess NC is next..qorvo used to be such a good company to work for..

It is a shame. So many good people. Did any supervisors, managers, or directors get cut to help reduce overhead costs?

Why are some of you coming on here making jokes. This is not funny. This is hurting the older people being chosen and any younger ones being chosen, the difference being it will be easier for younger ones to find a job. For some of the older, more experienced workers, this is all they know and will have trouble getting into another company because they are only hiring the younger people straight out of college. Everyone has bills and needs a paycheck to survive. Reading this board and seeing the layoffs first hand, it appears as if they are letting go alot of dedicated, motivated workers and keeping the dead weight, so if that is you, congratulations you still have a job, so all your a-kissing and bs worked, but now with your co workers gone who did all the hard work, you will have to actually perform and work now. Now you will be the more experienced one when they bring in the new group of a-kissers and bsers so guess who will get layoffd then...YOU.......So laugh now but your time will come because this company is I'd up.

Did the 60% headcount only come from their FAB employees or a mixture of FAB and other departments?
