Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

The ship

There are good people. There is positive intent. People want to win. The root problem is misguided decisions, caused by rapid leadership change and lack of understanding.

Operationally windstream can not deliver a good experience.

Distraction and diversion have been successfully used to mask root issues.

If you want to turn it around, focus on the cogs in the machine. When you have a car that constantly breaks down, you cant get where you need to be. You miss commitments. You get morally defeated.

If executives are watching this site, as stated, call out the real problem and provide a solution.

I agree that the technicians are the heart of Windstream (or they were.......) When I was at Windstream, I was one of the top salespeople. It wasn't that I was so great (I was always honest with the customer and didn't give outrageous expectations), but it were the technicians that made my sales! And I never failed to make sure everyone knew it too!!

And that is the underlying cancer of this company. The a-- kissing and turd polishing from the lower forms of management to the top. I honestly don't think TT and the people directly below TT, heck maybe even the EVPs under them have a good picture of WTF is really going on due to the ball licking, tw@t polishing middle and lower management. Yet, the damage has been done we have took on way too much water, sustained too much damage this ship is going down.

Sorry Former BST. technicians are the heart of the company. Customers stay because of tech they like- now windstream send all calls to a snot nosed kid in a data center reading from a flowchart. Now you can see customers bailing left and right. Coincidence? Nope- without techs, management is useless-they spit the same jargon. Metric this, lunch that, underwater fire prevention training. Screw customers who needs them. Lets make sure we can read a hazardous label- I know good supervision but above them is a complete joke. Remember you are only there because of your techs. Treat them like crap, lose customers and you are next. Tyoical really. I saved account after account while they did nothing. Management is windstreams problem, faster they get canned the faster the healing can begin and culture will change

Appreciate technicians. S.H. and J.B. in Cabarrus County. Quit telling everyone that everything is ok. Engage your technicians, help them. Take their ideas seriously. Without them, there is no YOU. BE FOR YOUR WORKERS INSTEAD OF FOR YOUR MANAGEMENT THUGS. Isn’t that what a manager is suppose to be? Help people they manage and not kiss a$$ of everyone above you.
