Heard today three more New Jersey stores will get the ax by the end of third quarter.

"Jersey City, Somerset and Elmwood Park stores are closing, according to employees at those stores, who I contacted after getting a tip." I gave him the tip, but I didn't know about Jersey City.

Correct. Elmwood Park is closing. They will be there until July
Two so far. Elmwood Park NJ is to become a Shop Rite. Somerset NJ is slated for redevelopment.
Just call all the kmart stores and ask if they have discontinued accepting new layaways. The ones that aren't taking new layaways are the ones that will be closing next.
I wonder if the Elmwood Park store is one of the closing ones. Even though it is still listed in the store search, when you do a store pickup it does not show up right now. Store pickup was there a few days ago.

All Kmarts will be closing. King Eddie made no mention of Kmart in his last missive. Jaclyn Smith is moving over to Sears. That should tell you something, right there.
