Qcom should not bribe anyone to get this deal one. It will employees more discontent with the company.

SM makes a good point: if China is seen as the one holding up the deal, it will look bad on them in the world community. China wants to spread their sphere of influence.

NXP will be a huge albatross around Qualcomm's neck, and work the agreements Q made not to cut NXP headcount, all the refund position trimming will come from Q.

If you are aQ employee, you better hope NXP does not go through. It's going to be bad either way, but it will be far worse with NXP.

Qcom needs to be bribe as many Chinese officials as they can to get this deal done. This will be found out and a fine will come afterwards, but it's going to be in the millions and no one can split the company. The stock price won't go down because of the fine (investors just see that as the cost of doing business and it's a one time thing).
