Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

So, does this mean we are safe from layoffs?

Fort Lauderdale-based global software company Citrix Systems saw first-quarter revenues increase 5 percent to $697 million, up from $663 million in the same period a year ago, the company said Wednesday.

At Citrix you are never safe from layoff. Just a day away from being on the street.

Citrix is run by a bunch of racist a-- clowns ruining the company

ctxsupportkb Is right. It’s now a better deal for a customer to buy a cloud license. It includes licensing for on prem, so even if they have no intention of using cloud it’s a cost saver. DH however counts them as a cloud customer and pretends all our customers are going to cloud, which they aren’t as it far to expensive

Neither. I am a former employee and now work for a Citrix channel partner. I also own CTXS stock.

What's driving revenue? Mostly sales and financial "engineering" of the XenApp install base into "Cloud" subscriptions. It's a similar scheme to the XenDesktop trade-up from 8-9 years ago. It "works" for a while until the install base has been fully mined...but low actual usage of "Cloud" by customers is the dirty little secret. Citrix's products are poor quality, and are getting even worse every day.
