Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Finally Free

I'm finally free of the insane office politics at State Farm. I decided to resign before the company handed me a QTD date which was only a matter of time. Good luck to everyone. There is life after State Farm and it's glorious!

Agreed! Leaving with them and living with less within a tighter budget is much less stressful than going to work at SF.

I retired earlier than planned and after hearing about mandatory OT on Saturdays for those who will soon be dumped, losing PTO, etc i am so glad i left. My days are happy and absent the stress which caused numerous medical issues the past year. If i have to live on less i can do it. I pray for all of you.

I would LOVE to fly SF the bird and walk out. I live in Blm-Normal and can't move. Have to hold out for the involuntary severance. God Help the people that stay as the volume of work, lack of training will only add to the stress levels. I don't have a crystal ball...but the Farm is going to sink even farther down, WAY DOWN, before it can get any better.

No my dept did not have a QTD yet. I was sick of all the games as my site wound down and called it quits.
