Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Qualcomm buying stuff just because it can

There is a tremendous clash of cultures between NXP and QCOM.

CSR was painful and now a couple of years later I'm not at all convinced it did much for us. Seems at this point in the company life cycle Q is just buying stuff because it can. Buy, layoff, buy, layoff.

Exactly what @SNoArir-1srf said. The only way Qualcomm is growing nowadays is through acquisitions that do us more harm than good. NXP will be no different, I'm sure of it. And we will be the ones to pay for it once again.

Disagree - NXP had bought FSL in 2015! FSL and QCOM are US companies.

Money was cheap in the last years worldwide thanks to the extremely low interest rates. That's why there were so many acquisitions in semi last years. But FED is increasing the rates, now EU will raise too. That means cheap money is over. From now on only layoffs, not buys, i.e. "bye" instead of "buy"...
