Thread regarding University of Phoenix layoffs

Bad (old) news on student enrollment

"Spokespeople for Phoenix declined to comment. But multiple sources told Inside Higher Ed that for-profit Phoenix’s enrollment may have dropped below 100,000 recently, which would be the first time it slid below that number in 15 years."

CG should be able to fix that. Maybe even BR? Both enrollment VP's STILL. It's blowing my mind. Bring back the VP's from a long time ago that actually made things happen and took care of the people "they worked for", their employees!

Let's start with John Durling. Dude went on to run his manufacturing business in Utah and is STILL wildly successful. Go figure...How about Josh Hatch? Works as an executive at an ASU offset and is wildly successful. What about Tim? Oh wait, he's the idiot that was threatened by those guys and got rid of them. He kept the only people willing to listen to him ramble on. How about Wade Anderson? The only guy willing to stand up to the BS and someone you could trust.

This place is a joke and I'm just waiting for my turn now..

I have heard from reliable sources it is in the 70K range which is the number the Administration considers to be bottoming out. I believe 70K is optimistic and that 50K is more likely the bottom. UOP is being clobbered by competitors like WGU, SNHU, Liberty and Grand Canyon. What will UOP look like at 50K enrollment? There will be more closings and layoffs for sure if that number is anywhere near accurate.

The number reported may be the average fiscal year enrollment rather than current quarterly ending enrollment. The average fiscal year enrollment in FY17 was about 123,000 down from about 165,000 in FY16. A good guess for the most recent quarterly enrollment is between 50,000 and 60,000.
