The class of some PMs is unique in qualcomm.
Modem PM team is completely useless. All meeting minutes takers and status email forwarding. Their leadership is complete incompetent.

You engineers are too arrogant to realize what the PMs do. They are supposed to do all the stuff that allows you to be the tech code or HW monkeys you are supposed to be. But most of you don't allow them to do it. Your arrogance is so deep that you think you can do everything including schedules, budgets, procurement, executive reviews, contracts, etc. And you probably can....
But here's the rub. It'ss actually much cheaper and more efficient to let the PMs do this so you can actually engineer stuff...
But if it makes you feel better about how you screwed up this company by not doing your jobs....have at it.
Execs want PMs to be there to oversee sh-- they don't understand, sh-- they can't solve and sh-- they have absolutely no control of. Just a reality. It's all about getting a paycheck, like everyone does.
BTW, what's a computer engineer anyway? Just a guy who can do complex typing. Same sh--. We all are looking for a paycheck to pay sh-- we can't really afford, and to impress m------f----s we don't really like. True story.
Remove all the PMs...lay them all off, eliminate the entire HR department and outsource their functions. We have more than 1000 HR heads including consultant. Cut them all off.

That is why they needed 2 VPs , 2 Sr. Directors , 4 Directors in project management in CRD.
