Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Love the new Sears Home Store ads on television

Ads have begun to appear on television featuring family owned Sears Home Stores where they emphasize their independence from Sears and the fact that they own the store, and that they work for their community and NOT Sears. They appear to be wanting to create some distance from Sears, and to eliminate any confusion arising from them and regular Sears stores owned by SHLD.

Pretty bad when something with the name Sears in it wants nothing to do with Sears and actually spends advertising money to distance themselves from Sears.

Those commericals are the absolute worst. We put our life saving into you. We don't work for Sears we work for you. Lets see who you are working for once Craftsman, Kenmore, and Diehard are gone. Whats wrong with these people buying these hometown sh--holes. If I'm buying a major appliance in 2018 I'm going some where that will be open in 5 years when the thing breaks down. Those bunch of hillbillies on those commercials only knew those refrigerators they are standing next to as the box that makes clear cubes.

The hometown stores are fukked if SHLD shuts down full line stores en masse. Consumers will assume the little Sears stores run by SHOS are shutdown also. SHOS has its own buyers now and doesn't have to rely on the mothership Sears for product.
