Every dime that you get for bonuses in 2018 is paid for with the money you saved from this layoff. Enjoy.
While I understand that some bonuses are essential for retention, rewarding good performance, etc... your multi million dollar bonuses are obscene if they happen in the same year as a layoff. In fact, I’d love to hear the justification for any bonus for the executive team this year (keeping in mind that their salary is already orders of magntide more than the best paid engineer at Qualcomm). We will be watching, and shame on you if you accept a penny after this garbage fire of a year.
