@xve dont need your expert advice. GTFO. go start a technologically advanced and sustainable company in your s***hole country and then give advises. ha. good look with that.
US thru WTO started open trade & made other countries to reduce their custom duties and started exporting their produce initially then machinery, then high tech like semiconductors etc. For long US exported stuff to other countries as it was more competitive it was all fine, now when other countries started to compete for jobs then US has issues. Why? Let it be open and let everyone compete.
There is massive hiring going on in india
Frankly, the China pay still higher than India pay. 2x!
Are you kidding or spreading rumors ? OP shame on you to twist truth.
I wonder why you guys are surprised. It's been at least 2 decades in tech sector that India and China has much cheaper labor. Q will be not the only company which takes this path to reduce costs.
As another post stated, workforce in developed countries like US are more productive. But... you are just simply too expensive.
It's your management who decided this. At the end of the day the just look at money. No matter how perfect you are, if you are expensive then you are out. Blame your management who decides these countries. Their decision. Go to your manager, not Chinese :-)
By 2025 China will surpass a lot countries in tech sector. Don't underestimate them. China is one of top 5 countries which files most patents. The fastest supercomputers are in China. Search TOP500 on web.
You guys have just don't have experience in layoffs. It's good for you as life experience :-)
industry trend is outsource to india. My company is 70% design in India 30% in US now. Used to be around 30% india and 70% US 5 years ago... US engineers are more experienced, productive and reliable, but cost 3x more
It's not truth at all. There will be a big one in China design center
