Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Product management impacted ?

These guys haven't done any thing great forever. Haven't seen any innovative product in the road map from qualcomm but seem to be in a catch up game for ever with others in the industry who were babies yesterday. They are very much responsible for the current state of the company as well.

How did they get impacted, seem to be very silent like. Looks like no or very little impact, is this true ?

Win customer for what products ? What kind of innovative products showed up in roadmap other than playing the catch up game ?

5G is not a innovation ! 4G is not a innovation ! list goes on. neither was CDMA but excellent move by Dr. Irwin to drive telecommunications to the next level against all odds. What happened was evolution. Others caught up with modem and while we are still catching in automotive, IOT etc.

MFLO flopped, BREW flopped, Marisol flopped, push to talk flopped, UBM flopped and this list is never ending.

How many more products need to flop to figure out product management is a flop ?

@pwu you have no clue what they are doing. They are trying to win customers. If they win, they secure your job. So STFU!!

Qualcomm does not need a huge product management for what they are selling or going to sell. Half of these guys are clueless and not helping bottom line. They need to be trimmed mercilessly.

Worst group in qualcomm. All losers from Intel and failed engineers ..90% don't even have a MBA. No strategy ..possibly one if the biggest reasons for Qcom failure is the below average sub part product management team...sigh

Product management has issues and not useful at the moment and bad for the company. If Management is not noticing this axing them, then this directly implies downturn unless they are all completely replaced right away!

SM and Co. listening ?

or

Are you all waiting for your package by 2019 and close qualcomm store.

They were smart enough to follow the money. They are still hauling in a paycheck while you will be standing in the unemployment line. So please remind me, who is the failure here??
