“Fine tuning” 1200 employees with an ax is just wrong
According to simple analysis in the thread @SMPTH9i they should kick out 7000.
Now they started with 1500. This year 200M$. Despite that stocks collapsed (partly also due to approval extension ).
Shareholders are not happy. A lot of Q employees have shares. These guys will be kicked out but due their shares they win again.
BTW in worse phases companies offer stocks. I'm sure that Q is giving a lot of shares to employees everywhere to motivate them. But long term in such phases stocks will go down and these guys won't have chance to sell them. There are many companies which did this. Also in previous market crashes. My previous employer was before dot.com crisis one of the biggest in its sector. They spread shares like hell. After dot.com the shares collapsed so much that its value was less than toilet paper. This company is bankrupt now
Not hard to predict this site will have a very active future.
