Execs make millions and live like kings, while peons make thousands and worry about being laid off continually.
Execs serve the shareholders, who care nothing for peon employees and they also live well due to profits.
Execs aren't morons, they're carrying out their plan, which is very different from what the peons ASSUME it is. Peons assume Execs' plan is a simple, linear "Make profit, make company successful" plan.
Wrong. Their business plan is infinitely more complex than that and involves global shifts, demographics, technology changes, and the expected shelf life of a company due to changes in any of these arenas and others.
Peons assume the company will go on forever, because they do not understand any of these things, nor do they include them in their assumed understanding of Execs' priorities.
That is why they are the Execs and you are the peon. They're not the moron, you are for assuming to know much when you know nothing. Now go back to your cubby and do your specified, isolated task you're assigned to.
And wait for them to decide when to toss you out like yesterday's trash.
