Crash?? Lol. MAYBE a minor dip but nothing more. Qcom is little more than an ingrown hair on the a$$ of humanity. Most people have never heard of them and their extinction will go virtually unnoticed.
Real estate investor here. This question pops up again and again. Is this how QC works internally ?
There will be nada impact due to Qualcomm layoffs but might be due to other reasons.
Get out of your well fellas and stop bragging about Qualcomm.
Avoid further drug use before your next job interview, you’ll need to be clean for the test.
1500 employees is nothing. Also, I imagine many of them rent so they’ll move and their slumlord will find another s---er to bilge dry. There’s other companies in San Diego besides Quallyworld and had this been something major like a military base closure/realignment THEN perhaps the market would flinch. The reality is people (San Diegans especially) are not bright and will continue to pay the outrageous money to live there. I left and suddenly I had more disposable income, no crowds/traffic and the nasty people with their fake attitudes. Lastly-Move to Riverside or the high desert. You people already ruined your state with dumb laws and taxes, so stay out of MINE!
To the minority of people going through this that don’t deserve the layoff-Good luck to you
Within 12 miles of radius from Sorrento Valley..10% impact.
I want to invest in Tihouana.
hahaha. omg. this q was asked 1000 times here... and yet, we do a minimum 5% price jump every year.
Nop. More people move south from San Francisco.
Single family homes will see a small drop. Not just because of Q, but also high interest rates.
Nope. A key component to the crash in '08 were bad loans approved for unqualified borrowers. Banks scrutinize any loans these days and it's more difficult to get a loan. Rental prices may come down but everyone wants to move here from unrelated industries so doubt we'll see any impact.
A small number of 4S ranch, Bernardo and Scripps Ranch homes will come on the market. Negligible impact.
No, Qcom is not the only company in SD. In my neighborhood less 5% of family’s work at Qcom
No. Most of the H-B's rent.
Demand for Mira Mesa rentals as strong as ever ! Fill up those bedrooms in those multi-occupancy single family homes :-)
15% drop
The numbers of sales dropped on 2018 in Carmel valley.
It's a sign.
Reminds me of year 2007, just before the 2008 crash.
Liar loans, local economy not looking good, home prices doubled since last crash.
