No meeting is set up ahead of time. It's an instant thing - you get a call, go to where you're told and that's it

Don't panic. QC is still great company and run by rookies, especially HR.
Good severance package, and it gets the bad feelings out and done with. You'll be happy when you get the notice. And you won't have to go through the next round before year's end when they won't provide such a great package.
