5G is a pipe dream to generate revenue before 2021 and QC will well out of cash long prior to that and NEVER re-coup enough to keep their uninventive mindset afloat. The end is near for QC. The cash cow has peaked and QC doesn't know how to make profit in what little it's developing. Once licensing unit gets sold off it's over.

5G is crap. All those use cases for it are BS. Expect slow deployment, and only in those spaces that actually need a capacity increase. 4G is just fine for most people.

There are a lot of players in 5G and some of them are very good. Qcom might not have a big slice of that pie. The article itself states that China has a slight lead over USA. Do not drink too much of that prediction kool-aid
Shame we are ramping down the pre-commercial spend on 5G as part of the shareholders cost savings. Q execs promised to give the $$$ back to shareholders rather than invest in 5G.
