MST still in the game nicely !
CPU team at Austin gone
It's almost like no layoff here.
Just a noise in the media. All well here. QC all normal.
Product management or program management affected ? They seem to be playing this safe ?
They are very high cost teams, right?
@prs Yes, I'm Sr. Eng. from connectivity testing group. I got GTFO notice today.
The only people who will know who was impacted will be those who were laid-off. They get a packet with title and age of those in their functional area all listed (No names).
Was surprised not even single person above principal got axed in our group. All the guys impacted was below senior staff .i thought it was supposed to be 20 % for principals and above
I heard IT was hit hard. But no reliable resources.
Wait for the official WARN numbers next week and then the fog will clear. You'll start to learn slowly who is 'impacted' and eventually ph will start to alter and look different. Takes weeks for the fool toll to be visible. May Q return that $$$ to the shareholders and gracefully close down.
Fairness is only an abstract concept. You don't get what you "deserve." You get what you get. With consistent hard work you can improve your life. At least that's what I paid Tony Robins $935 for a seminar to hear. So, the take-home lesson here is... be Tony Robins.
Life itself not fair buddy, some born with silver spoons and some born in utter poverty, wat the hell fairness u expecting fron Qcom
The only fairness in this whole process will be when they chop you instead of me.
Fair ? Its not about fair ? Its about getting $1billion savings for the stock holders. Best way is to target high cost area/resources and then patch up the mess later with cheap band-aids.
Any test folks getting out this time ? Specially tons at the high level ?
