Keeping people under stress = keep them slaves to the grinder.
Oh, dont complain. I've seen the outcome. She got a meeting with HR and a little booklet about stress and EAP. Then laid off just now.
From past exper4ience these are "never over", unless you are at Apple or Google. Its good to just move on to some other place.
Yes your director should sent an email notifying that it is over.
There will be more shareholder value-based 'savings' aka layoffs next spring.
Also likely more 6-9 months post NXP acquisition targeting more 'savings' from overlapping and redundant functions. I've been through this at a former life; it take 3-5 years to pull out the other side.
It's not happening, its Russian trolls in overtime.
