Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

Accountability of ETL?

We have made a lot of leadership changes in the last 36 months. Is there any accountability?

I have serious concerns about the new org structure and the degrading quality of our products :

  • netscaler used to be the most solid product in the industry, its quality has gone down

  • XA/XD is not getting enough focus as we want to move to the cloud. But where are the results?

  • quality engineers are leaving the company

  • citrix cloud is not working - it's a bad architecture/wrong building-blocks and the leadership team doesn't understand that the florida engineers have zero cloud skills. No new DNA is brought in and old timers are making mistakes left and right

When will DH stand up and ask the PM/Engineering leaders to take accountability for failures?

This is so typical for any product citrix develops. Everything is done cheaply watching every penny.

There is no time allowed for R&D, it goes from idea at synergy to a band aid home lab product into production.

No wonder citrix products don’t work or scale.

Stupid ELT clowns 🤡

"We have been made aware of performance issues across the Citrix Cloud platform. These issues have resulted in latency logging into the Citrix Cloud Admin UI as well as session launch failures.

Our development team is aware of the reports and are actively investigating the issues. We will provide an update within the hour as we work to identify root cause and resolution"

"Smart Tools Servers are not reachable and we are suspecting this may be related to infrastructure issue. We are in the process of identifying the issue. Currently application is not working."

DH gets fired if there is a single bad quarter. Stock will crash and EM will find a new CEO. DH knows and is only working to save his well paying job.

EM doesn't care about the future.... what a sad way for the company to go down.

The top 3 layers of product management for NS are gone. Inexperienced people have been made VP. There isn’t any solid product leadership anymore.

It would be interesting to see if there is a coherence between people leaving and product quality. I know engineers have left at XA/XD. Not sure about NS or XM teams.

When the clown floridiots ELT crash the company they will get promoted to other companies and gain even more riches. unfortunately the Florida engineers will not have many choices but to relocate to expensive areas to get equivalent jobs.

This may require them to like in trailer homes for a while...

Cutting R&D is the easiest way to be ready for the future!

With so many software jobs in Florida, the fate of employees is sad. ELT is making enough money to retire.

Engineers at the grassroots will not be able to relocate with kids to SF or Seattle in this real estate market.

EM wants the stock to hit $100 then all the big guys will bail and Citrix collapses.

You mean ELT

DH is just making sure he can keep Wall Street happy by cutting costs every quarter. Customer renewals are healthy because they are stuck. It’s not easy to get rid of Citrix software so even if we ship crap it will take another 10 years for customers to get rid of us

Meanwhile, we will go private or find a buyer or sold in parts. ELT will make millions every year. Layoffs will happen every now and then
