Emails are out. Good luck all!!
All TMs were notified yesterday afternoon of their direct reports’ status. She knows but it’s a matter of whether she’s comfortable sharing it with you or not.
Did all TMs receive notification on the fate of their direct reports yesterday? Mine said she got an email that she'd be cc'd on mine today. I'm getting an ulcer over this, worried it means I am not going to receive an offer.
@SJFVveK-3qwc - First, I am not a troll. I am a Proximity person that has moved twice for the company. Trust me when I say this: The company no longer has an institutional memory. The fact that you are making a huge sacrifice and uprooting the family to move will not be remembered or rewarded. All it will do is put you in a place that you do not know, or have a support system (friends, family, etc.) in, I would take the involuntary severance money and run. If you move, be prepared for the next re-org to come, and the one after that. At that point you may be stuck in the placed you moved to & be without a job there. The company tipped their hand with Proximity in how decisions were made, work performance doesn't matter, simply which zip code people are in relative to their newly imagined territories. I know it is a difficult decision for you but there is no future in the field, only in the hubs. Good luck, It will be a difficult week for you....
@SJFVveK-1mmd, L&D has remote workers who were already cut or made offers to relocate last month. The claims proximity trainers are not L&D employees. Everyone in L&D already had their QTD and the org chart in their hands. Old and new.
I am a proximity claim specialist and my TM shared my fate with me. 3/3 ratings each of the last 2 years with a CPCU. Didn’t get my first choice because I’m less than 10 Miles from one of the “approved” zip codes. Instead I get an offer halfway across the country in a state I’ve never even visited and didn’t opt into. Now I have a week to figure out if I want to uproot my family to move into the unknown. Just surreal right now.
If you have a TM that is willing to give you that info before tomorrow’s email. Proximity TMs have already been notified of the fate of their direct reports. Hit em up...
I know TM’s have been finding out today if they have a job. Have any CS’s been notified yet?
@SJFVveK-1pim - Proximity Trainers are L&D and they are being cut.
L&D aren’t proximity people. That’s the Learning and Development Department.
Proximity is people that work from home. Ya know the place state farm gets to store their cars. Yet we can't drive them if we have to go to a VIS.
Hoping this is not a dumb question...and I do work at SF for now but in Bank so I don't know this. What is Proximity?
Includes auto Estimatics
I would assume it is everyone that was in the Proximity round of cuts. This would include L&D, Auto Estimatics, SIU, Fire & Weather Proximity. Sorry if I forgot anyone...
Is this just fire proximity or does it include auto estimators and field task reps?
Wow nothing like being on the hot seat for few days and then only a week to make a decision if given an offer or not! SF is sure shafting some folks !
Correct - Emails being sent after 2pm eastern time.
This information is consistent with what I know as well. TMs will know the fate of their direct reports Thursday afternoon.
TM’s find out Thursday. CS’s find out by email on Friday. Will have one week (4/27) to reply with acceptance IF an offer is given.
If you can't understand what I said I am sorry it is pretty clear.
more detail...what do you mean and how do you know?
