I've been with Citrix quite a long time. From what I have seen over the last 6-8 years, Citrix just keeps cutting expenses everywhere they can find, decreasing operating costs annually to help make numbers. The last layoffs/restructuring that I saw that actually got rid of dead weight across the board was 2009. The last several layoffs, 90% of it has made little sense internally. Lots of good, hard workers let go in the past 8 years. Most people at FTL HQ are doing the work of AT LEAST 2 people. Our once top notch tech support is stripped to the bone with long hold times and lots of inexperienced staff that has little historical product knowledge. Our engineering teams that build and fix the products are cut even further, that our product quality is in the toilet. IT, Marketing, Sales.....large cuts everywhere. Good, quality people left internally won't apply for internal positions where they could help the company thrive, because everyone is worried that any new position they take will be cut in the next round of layoffs. But because FTL is not a big tech area, lots of people with more than 10 years tenure won't leave. Moving out of state would be the only play for them to get similar pay.
