Announced a couple of weeks ago.. Major IT re-organization at Pepsico. ALL contracting agencies will be gone. All consolidated to 1. This will have a MAJOR effect on ALL contracting employees. There is also talk of re-badging employees. If you were an IT employee, you may be re-badged to a contractor. Worsw, if you are a contractor you may loose your job.

It is true. Employee only meeting today. All support going to India and Mexico. All going to TATA. Most Cognizant contractors will be let go by July. Even new hires in training.
I know Pepsi gets everyone with the good severance package, but there's absolutely no way they can manage the level of training you give someone. My wife had the same thing happen at her job and it's such a slap in the face that she passed on the severance and just retired on the spot.
I've heard that Tata will take over all of the sustain roles, from the Directors on down, and that rebadging will not be an option. Instead employees will be given X amount of months to train their Tata replacement as a condition to get their severance package.
IMO, this info is relevant for those in the sustain function of IT as all of managed services are going to Tata. BRM and DD are not impacted (yet)
