Thread regarding Qorvo layoffs

Is Qorvo (Greensboro) worth relocating to?

Considering relocating family from Virginia to Greensboro to work for Qorvo, headquarters office building. Place seemed quite during working hours. What is culture, work/life balance like? Are there any amenities onsite (cafeteria/exercise room)?

Is Greensboro a good place to raise a family?

Greensboro has more industries in it than in the past, but look closer to Raleigh. If any function suddenly moves to Oregon if there is no fab in Greensboro, you want options. Or consider renting until all the fallout is over.

Cafeteria and exercise room loctated in the Headquarters building. I do not know life / work balance in corporate. You would be smart to settle outside Guilford County, taxes are lower in Rockingham and Randolph Counties, but it all depends if you prefer city or rural setting to call home.
