HR and new plant manager and staff Held a meetings and conference call Thursday till about 8pm to figure out the layoff plan and to finialize the headcount. It was upon analyzing the job scope for the next 2 plus years that a mass layoff must take place. The layoffs are in Greenville SCwill layoff roughly 20 white collar staff and 75 more blue collar workers. Upstate NY will have to eliminate close to 380 blue collar workers and around 25-30 white collar. It’s not looking to good for upstate. Rumor in the office is that the main component is going to be service parts.

GE does not treat it's employees like dirt. We are actually treated pretty good. Good pay and benefits. It is awful that we may get let go but that is just business now days. You are free to leave at anytime if you do not like it here. I am staying and working hard to try to turn things around. Don't get me wrong i am mad and upset at the circumstance and want to blame a few individuals but that is just a waste of my time.

The hall won't be honest to us union workers and they know what's going on. Local 301 s---s and grow some balls to support us. We pay union dues for you to fold over to the company who treats us like sh-- and you don't step in to help!! Do something for a change and walk the floor and talk with the workers.
