Did RD honestly stand there from one of the only places in America with a higher cost of living and real estate market than NYC place some of the blame for closing the NYC office on the real estate cost?

Yes that is exactly what they did at the meeting, very unprofessional to say the least. That definition of WONDER is spot on!!!
Did they all really just get up there at that town hall and pretend that the NYC office closing didn't happen until someone had to ASK???? They are really displaying their incredible WONDER values, Wasteful, Overpaid, Narcissistic, Desperate, Egotistical and Reckless. Give 'em a raise for leading by example!
Yes, you have to live in a slowly gentrifying sh*thole in Brooklyn to match the cost of some of the beach close apartments in the South Bay. Much rather work on the West Coast. Much more affordable, not to mention the crime/safety issues in and around NYC.

If it were really about that - wouldn't they consider moving the office to NJ or Rye or something cheaper than downtown NYC?
Instead of putting 200 people out of work and offering relocation to maybe half of them at most, with only a handful seeming like they're going to accept it...
Questions regarding charity are important but not relavent when a company is not profitable in business. Leader in sustainability is meaningless when a company losesa billion dollars .nonsense all of it!!!
