Thread regarding Eskenazi Health layoffs

Epic Project Closed

My director called a meeting with us and told us what was going on. It is the closing of the Epic Project which we all knew would happen after the install. Because of that technology some other positions could be consolidated like training. I am sad for people who were affected but it does not sound like it is as extreme as some are saying.

It is pathetic how an employer "Eskenazi" can care less about their employees future. They call you in and tell you your job is over! No warning, no get ready, save some cash! I am very bitter about the way it was done, like herding cattle into a room and then the non-emotional team setting at a table state "you employment here is no longer needed". "Take a minute, let it soak in" they said! How do you absorb your job is over, and then be treated again like cattle herding you next door for paperwork and see the next group ready to go to slaughter. Eskenazi upper management should consider the effort, care, and dedication their employees give. Don't believe them when they say you will be considered if you apply for an open job in the future, that is a joke. How come upper management can't get their act together and stop letting go good people in droves. We are not talking 1 or 2 at a time, we are talking hundreds of people!!!!!!

Did Kevin Swing get let go or did his buddy, Scott Morris keep him around again? Kevin doesn't even have a college degree. Doesn't mean he can't work hard but he is imtimidated by his staff that completed college.

Meet you at the bar at 4PM Kevin.
