There is a palpable loss of workers trust for our management team. Why? Because it is painfully obvious that they do not suffer with us. They ask us to sacrifice while they are unwilling to do so. Great leaders go first. Great leaders suffer with their people. They risk first before asking us to do so ourselves. Our leaders do not trust us so they are not worthy of ours.

Nobody mentioned about operation side where poor worker work so hard but leader only listen who talk more based on lies stories just buy a day by day. Also some COC happen in many area but leader try to avoid the truth but based on ears not eye. Ha ha
Yep, no saving Private Ryan here, nor anywhere else in this industry. We’re all just cannon fodder. The execs are our superiors at HQ sacrificing us in an attempt to save their own asses.
"Tim, Ned and Johanna will endlessly play "Don't Stop Believing" throughout the meeting. It ain't over 'til the fat lady sings!"
But . . . . Oh, I get it.
"Dude, this isn’t your platoon leader storming the beaches at Normandy with you, this is CORPORATE AMERICA. Everybody out for themselves. Your living in a fantasy world if you expect your “leaders” here to give a crap about you." - This post is pure genius. Almost wish this was not anonymous so I can high-five you in the hall way.
We can all breathe a collective sigh of relief, M-Ho has found a solution to her credibility problem. She has hired the Toys as a backup band for today's town hall meeting. Tim, Ned and Johanna will endlessly play "Don't Stop Believing" throughout the meeting. It ain't over 'til the fat lady sings!
I think to you who claim that this behavior is just a symptom of corporate America then you’re probably right. You want to excuse your execs behavior go ahead.
They can take however much they want. But when they ask us to sacrifice and grin and bear it then that is the height of hypocrisy.
And they don’t deserve our trust. No we’re not storming the beaches of Normandy but what happens at the company affects all of the lives of the people working here. We’re the front line when the product doesn’t live up to the hype. We get laid off because the execs in the finance group want to keep a high margin. For what? To make sure their grossly inflated salaries get even bigger bonuses. It’s greed pure and simple. And maybe that is corporate America. Then call it like it is. Stop pretending to care about the company. Stop talking about culture. Stop talking about innovation. We won’t do it. Why? Because innovation risks failure. And the execs don’t want to risk their bonuses. Greed is transformative. Congratulations.
Mattel is the North Korea of the toy world. Put your hands together and give it up for your supreme leader M-Gong Un! Don't worry about her, she'll be fine no matter what happens! Just keep on working! We're playing the long game. We're disrupting the industry. We've taken action to vlean our slate and reset our economic model.
Nothing more indubitable has been written on this website than the comment before last here. Time for some of you to wake up and smell the cappuccino, friends.

Dude, this isn’t your platoon leader storming the beaches at Normandy with you, this is CORPORATE AMERICA. Everybody out for themselves. Your living in a fantasy world if you expect your “leaders” here to give a crap about you.
This appears a completely accurate statement. Not to mention how unhappy many hardworking employees seem to be. What are the leaders doing (not just talk) to inspire great work?
This question should be asked of management by employees and shareholders alike: What is your vision and what evidence exists that would allow one to trust that vision and your leadership ability?
You hit the nail on the head about Great Leaders and alas, since Mattel has none, the ES bunch behave differently
