The Indian migrants like getting shafted. They promise project manager positions but get team leader. Happens all the time.

Geologists and geophysicist had enough from oil.

For decades they just took as much as they could by picking and clicking on data from reservoir which adds 10% uncertainties for each 1000ft depth!

In what language this is a science???

My Roomba at home does better job in guessing where to pickup.

A 1936 study showed that monkeys don't really like peanuts. So peanut pay will not attract a lot of monkeys.

the oil industry is overflowing with people who have worthless geology degrees who can't get a job as a geologist because their qualification isn't good enough.

Geologist is one of those science degrees not in demand, like forestry.

$60K a year right out of college is damn good for a science degree like that.

They'll continue to crew rigs with Indian migrants in Australia, but I feel even they will realise they are getting shafted.

They've been doing that for years with the 'engineers' that they hired.

Market is so bad for oil engineers, in LinkedIn some engineers offer 6 month free work.

I think this good of slb being honest from beginning and not promising BS.
