It’s obvious to everyone that this company is going down fast. When do we start laying off VP’s (any one of the 100 we have) or upper management? Cut the fat already!!!

Cutting the fat as you say will never happen. You will go long before they do.
These people are older retreads from other failed for-profits who are in the inexplicable lateral movement loop.
They are at this point going along for the ride and want to milk the system for as long as possible before collecting SS.
Wearing cufflinks and striking a pose are the only job requirements for the continued employment of these sycophantic window dressers.
It's pathetic but entrenched in the so-called industry.
