This is a sad story about a laid off R&D associate in India who suffered heart attack few days after the boot. Luckily his wife took him to hospital in time to save him. To add to the misery, his company insurance just got over and he had to pay from his pocket for the surgery. Where is the soul of PepsiCo gone now (IKN always boasted, we are a company with soul)? Worse to come or the storm has passed?

I'm sure there are a million stories like this. A guy got laid off and wrecked his car on his way home, and it's the company's fault because he otherwise would have been at the office. Or someone stubbed their toe because they were wandering around the house in the middle of the day vs. being at work.
What other lifestyle choices contribtued to this man's heart attack? Was he one of those fat Indians? The company can't be culpable for evertyhing that happens outside of the office.
