the purchasing evolution moves purchasing from the region to global. Regional purchading team gets reduced into a merchandising team. Theres A few regions that is piloting this Already and Im affaid here at store level there will be a bigger disconnect from our cooperate contacts.

Think about all of the efforts to streamline, and unify everthing globaly. Think About why in the last few months they posted hundreds of new global postions. The end is coming for you regional peeps.
After the last spln my stl mentioned this. He really doenst like our regional buyers so he was happy they were getting replaced by global.
If your region is piloting this, can you let us know how it effected the stores? And how many and who lost thier jobs?

NA is foolish adding positions those people will get promoted then laid off in August. I wouldn’t touch any of those jobs.
But NA just de-combined and added several new regional positions.
Glad I left last week. Now I get to watch this sh@t show as a spectator.
You have no idea what you’re talking about. Regional buyers remain as is, and inform local assortment in conjunction with the global buyer.
Go stock the drink box and stop talking out of turn.

The regional purchasing teams dont do anything anyways. And its not just the regional purchasing that is going away. Data, finance, marketing it all being globalized as well. By summer when the evolution rolls out, all regional teams will be gone and most regions will merge with one or two other regionals. Keyword, streamline
