Plenty of article now about IT layoffs. At least we are finally starting to get some kind of media coverage, I guess.
I was starting to believe I was imagining things. I guess 900 is the magical number. Never mind the fact that State Farm has in the meantime probably laid off as many in the past few months, only in smaller batches.
Wonder when the media will call out our local leaders for putting their heads in the sand. They're off on a field trip in D.C. to beg for federal tax dollars for their pet projects. The media coverage may not change our circumstances, but it will at least force a discussion about the future of Bloomington (if there is one).
