Anyone buying or holding stock now is deluding themselves. No recovery is coming and any possible buyout is MONTHS away (ESPECIALLY considering TRU) but people are in denial. As the Titantic was sinking, it appeared to recover for a minute and lifeboat people were hopeful that it wouldn't founder. What they couldn't see is that under the water, the front half had broken away, so the stern popped back up for a minute. That's Mattel right now, a doomed ship slowly sinking, broken parts strewn everywhere, no one knowing what to do, wealth and rank mean nothing. And the band played on!

ST will save the day! He’s awesome
Bigger problem is kids are not playing with toys as much as the past. The whole industry is simply shrinking. These are the opposer if growing pains. The weaker players (Mattel) are going to feel it hardest first - as we can all see.
No chance of ever recovering with MGO and RD. A clueless, inept combo.
Hopefully the scenario will play out where the first quarter results are a total disaster with TRU buying close to nothing and an overall poor product line and the board finally forces MGO to sell to Hasbro.
I agree, it's time to put up or shut up for M- Go.
A betting person would put money that executive management will react the same way since they have since current people came on board, Painfully slow and non responsive to show any adeptness to the situation . They have no plan, made no preparations and will fumble through the downfall of TRU at the cost to shareholders and employees. Come On , show what a Harvard business degree is capable of other than “WONDER” ? Flip the page in that business management book they read on the 15th floor.
CNN is reporting "Toys 'R' Us could go out of business next week."
The drop in price may be related to news that TRU is going out of business but IDK.
